Sam is Wotton Kearney’s Head of Legal & Technical Insights, leading the firm’s thought leadership and strategic insights agenda, with a focus on trends and emerging risks shaping the insurance market.

Drawing on extensive experience advising insurers and clients in the Professional and Financial Risks space, Sam brings together expertise from across the firm to deliver deeper perspectives, practical guidance and forward-looking insights that help clients stay ahead of the issues shaping their portfolios.

In this role, Sam is evolving the firm’s Legal & Technical Insights function to be client-focused, strategic and responsive to the challenges facing the insurance and risk market. By connecting expertise across product lines, sectors and markets, she ensures clients benefit not only from legal excellence but from forward-looking intelligence on the regulatory, market and risk developments that matter most.

Before stepping into this firmwide leadership role, Sam practised as Special Counsel in the firm’s Financial Lines team, where she advised on complex coverage matters, acted as coverage and monitoring counsel for major class actions in Australia, and provided front-end regulatory advice for local and global insurers. This experience grounds her client-first approach to legal and technical insights across the firm.
