Laura specialises in personal injury, institutional abuse claims, and non-institutional child sexual and physical abuse claims for both government and insurer clients. These claims vary significantly on their facts, and she takes a unique and tailored approach when advising on complex liability and quantum issues, whilst having an in-depth understanding of the injury, and reduces the risk of re-traumatisation of claimants where possible.
Laura has extensive experience acting for plaintiffs in personal injury claims relating to public liability, product defects, intentional torts, motor vehicle accidents, workers’ compensation and physical/sexual abuse. She uses this broad depth of experience in running personal injury claims to achieve outstanding results for clients by ensuring claims are thoroughly investigated and prepared.
Laura has extensive alternative dispute resolution experience, appearing and advising regularly at informal settlement conferences and mediations, as well as significant litigation experience in the NSW District and Supreme Courts at trial and interlocutory matters.
Laura was a finalist in the Rising Star of the Year – Big Law category of the 2021 Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards.
