Wotton Kearney is proud to have helped establish a classroom library at Sanofi Primary School in Kainantu, Papua New Guinea – supporting children in a rural community with their first real access to books and literacy resources.

For the past few years, WK has worked closely with from me NZ, a not-for-profit dedicated to literacy and education for children in rural Papua New Guinea, supporting through book donation drives, quiz nights and fundraising across our offices.

In November 2025, from me NZ volunteers travelled to Papua New Guinea to set up mini classroom libraries in schools without dedicated library buildings. With those funds, the team were able to bring over decorations and create an ocean-themed reading space inside a Grade 3 classroom at Sanofi Primary School. That library is now officially named the Wotton Kearney Library.

The classroom teacher shared that she had never had access to resources like this in her entire teaching career. Her students didn’t need much encouragement – they were already diving into the books!

Thank you to the from me NZ team for the incredible work you do on the ground, and to everyone at Wotton Kearney who contributed to making this happen.
