This week we’ve welcomed Andrew Toshack as our new Director of Enterprise Technology, as we continue to invest in smarter, tech-enabled ways of working for our clients and our people.

Andrew joins from Baker McKenzie, bringing more than 20 years’ experience working across complex professional services environments. His appointment reflects WK’s continued investment in technology that is not only cutting-edge, but safe, governed and aligned to client needs.

A business architect by background, Andrew specialises in aligning business and technology to deliver meaningful, sustainable outcomes. He has deep experience partnering with executive and technology leaders to shape strategy, design work programs and deliver enterprise-wide change.

Andrew’s appointment follows the recent announcement of our first Chief Technology & AI Officer, Iain McGuire, in May. Since joining, Iain’s focus has been on accelerating WK’s AI and transformation strategy, helping the firm harness technology, data and expertise to enhance client service, improve the employee experience and create sustainable value.

Andrew will work with Iain to lead the firm’s IT function and play a key role in advancing WK’s approach to innovation – ensuring the firm’s technology ecosystem enables smarter ways of working, strengthens client outcomes and provides the secure, scalable foundations needed to support long-term growth.

Commenting on his new role, Andrew said:

“Wotton Kearney has a clear vision for how technology can enhance both the client and employee experience. What stood out to me is the firm’s focus on aligning innovation with practical outcomes – WK has a strong vision for combining people, process, technology and governance to drive meaningful transformation. I’m excited to help bring that vision to life.”

Iain McGuire, Chief Technology & AI Officer at Wotton Kearney said Andrew’s appointment reflects the firm’s commitment to combining deep expertise with trailblazing innovation.

“At WK, our approach to innovation and AI is guided by three principles. We put clients and people at the heart of everything we do, we design for responsible AI from the outset, and we focus on creating genuine value through the thoughtful integration of technology, data, processes and expertise.”

“Andrew’s experience aligns strongly with that philosophy. He will help ensure we continue to adopt new technologies in a way that is secure, governed and trusted, while delivering better outcomes for clients and enabling our people to work smarter.”

“His appointment reflects our ongoing investment in innovation and our ambition to build the leading AI-enabled insurance and risk legal business in Asia Pacific.”
