This includes civil proceedings in Victoria and Tasmania, preparing Coronial statements and instructing at inquests, advising in relation to AHPRA notifications, and representing health practitioners in matters involving the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

- Acting for a public hospital under instructions from a government authority in relation to a claim brought by a patient who fell from a hospital bed during admission. Provided strategic advice to obtain a favourable settlement in light of liability views and plaintiff’s unreasonable expectations.

- Acting for a large national health regulator in a number of proceedings involving multiple hospitals in relation to claims by various plaintiffs regarding historical sexual abuse. Provided strategic advice balancing the regulator’s concerns in relation to potential reputational damage and potential future claims arising from similar factual circumstances.
