At Wotton Kearney, we believe gender equality is fundamental to a strong culture, effective leadership, and a sustainable business. When people are treated fairly and have equal opportunity to progress, we are better placed to serve our clients and support one another to do our best work.

As part of our annual reporting to the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA), we have published our 2024–2025 Gender Pay Gap (GPG) results for Australia.

This year, our median gender pay gap is 24.2%. This result reflects the current distribution of men and women across different roles and levels within the firm.

Our median gender pay gap has continued to trend downward since we started reporting in 2023, reflecting deliberate action to strengthen our systems, career pathways, and decision‑making processes.

Importantly, at WK there is no gender pay gap within equivalent legal roles. Since 2023, we have maintained a 0% gender pay gap across our early careers cohort and senior lawyer team.

We are committed to continuing to reduce our gender pay gap year on year through sustained focus on fair and transparent pay practices, leadership development, flexible work, and inclusive career progression.

Who is included in the report?

WK includes Partners as employees in our WGEA dataset, meaning they are covered by WGEA reporting requirements. As a result, our reported median gap reflects the full workforce structure, including senior roles with higher levels of remuneration.

Wotton Kearney operates across Australia, Aotearoa (New Zealand), Thailand and Singapore. This report focuses on our Australian business, with specific reference to our Aotearoa team, which continues to progress its own gender pay gap priorities.
