Aayush specialises across both the Financial Lines and Workplace areas, with matters spanning insurance coverage, professional indemnity, employment disputes and work health & safety prosecutions.
He acts for insurers, finance professionals, lawyers, insurance brokers and construction professionals. Aayush has considerable experience in advocating for clients in matters before the Fair Work Commission and regularly appears in matters before the Supreme Court of NSW.
Aayush has previously completed a secondment at an international insurer. He also has in-house legal as well as insurance broking experience gained while working for a multinational insurance broker.

- Acting as coverage counsel for an international insurer in class action proceedings brought against a national airline and two directors in which insurers were sought to be joined to the proceedings.
- Acting as coverage counsel for an international insurer in respect of an Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) prosecution brought against a technology company regarding conduct during its initial public offering.
- Providing coverage advice to an international insurer following a large-scale ransomware attack on a legal services provider.
- Providing coverage advice to a Lloyd’s syndicate following an investigation by the New South Wales Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
- Acting in court proceedings for a medical indemnity insurer in the successful defence of a denial due to non-disclosure issues.
- Acting on instruction from an insurer for three law firms in separate class action proceedings relating to off-the-plan conveyances.
- Acting on instruction from an international insurer for a multinational engineering firm in a professional negligence claim following a drilling exercise that damaged significant underground utilities.
- Acting on instruction from an insurer in the successful defence of a law firm against allegations of negligent implementation of settlement instructions, appealed to the New South Wales Court of Appeal.

- Acting for a multinational insurance broker seeking to enforce restraint of trade provisions on senior employees (including several directors) in the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
- Advising a large construction company following the fatality of an employee at a worksite.
- Acting for an international technology and appliances manufacturer in an unfair dismissal application brought by a former employee.
- Undertaking due diligence for employment-related issues within a broader team advising a healthcare company on its acquisition of an assisted reproductive technology company.
- Acting for a national dairy co-operative seeking to enforce restraint of trade provisions on the former Chairman in the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
- Acting for a multinational rail machinery manufacturer in a work health & safety prosecution brought by SafeWork NSW.
- Acting for a scaffolding and plant leasing company in a work health & safety prosecution brought by SafeWork NSW.
- Acting for a logistics company in a prosecution for breaches of fatigue management provisions in the Heavy Vehicle National Law.
- Acting for three entities engaged in a joint venture to construct a renewable energy project in an adverse action application brought by a trade union, on behalf of their member, in the Fair Work Commission.
