  • Representing an educational institution in a workplace health and safety investigation following a notifiable incident. The nature of the circumstances required measured stakeholder management balanced with meeting compliance obligations from relevant authorities. No legal proceedings were brought after the conclusion of the investigation.
  • Representing a volunteer organisation in discrimination proceedings that were successful settled on a mutually beneficial basis.
  • Acting for a PCBU in a SafeWork NSW investigation into a warehouse accident involving goods transporters that resulted in a subsequent prosecution where the PCBU had been acquired by new owners after the investigation, but prior to the prosecution.
  • Representing an educational institution in a discrimination complaint involving multiple complainants and respondents that was resolved on favourable terms prior to the commencement of proceedings.
  • Representing a PCBU in a SafeWork NSW prosecution following a fall from heights fatality in which the PCBU charged was not the principal contractor and was not substantively involved in the project at the time of the incident. The charges were ultimately withdrawn by the Prosecutor and costs awarded in the PCBU’s favour.
  • Acting for a business in respect general protections and unfair dismissal claims in the Fair Work Commission that resulted from the same instance of misconduct. Each were settled prior to hearing on favourable terms.
  • Acting for an individual in successfully mediated Federal Court proceedings in respect of a penalty issued by a key statutory authority.
  • Acting for an individual in a senior role to negotiate a favourable ending of a long-term employment relationship.
