Joseph advises international insurers, ports, shipowners, and P&I clubs and their members on a wide range of transport-related disputes and commercial drafting solutions. He is known for providing swift, commercial and astute legal advice on disputes, claims and commercial issues in the marine and transport space.

Joseph has previously acted as in-house counsel at an international ocean carrier and as a claims specialist at an international marine insurer. He uses this broad mix of experience and his industry knowledge to maximise results for clients.

His experience spans advising on hull and machinery disputes, disputes arising from the international carriage of cargo, coverage issues, subrogated recoveries, ship arrests, and the international sale and procurement of vessels.

Joseph was a member of the winning Corporate Counsel Awards’ Transport and Logistics Team of the Year in 2020. He has been recognised in the Legal 500 as a shipping litigation specialist in 2021, as well as in Doyle’s Guide as a Transport Law Rising Star in 2023 and 2024.
