Tristan has extensive experience, gained in Australia and the UK, in effectively defending claims against architects, certifiers, contractors and engineers arising from building, infrastructure and other engineering projects. He also has experience acting for accountants, property developers and solicitors. Many of these matters involve technically complex, high value and multi-party disputes.
Tristan brings a thorough understanding of the issues that are important to insurers and their insureds, as well as the operational and claims environment in which they operate. His work involves advising on insurance coverage and the most appropriate strategies for resolving claims, including through adjudication, arbitration, court proceedings, mediation and negotiations. He also assists clients to avoid complaints from escalating into formal disputes and to protect their contractual positions.
Tristan is admitted to practice in both Australia and in England & Wales.
