Meg specialises solely in health law. Her practice is varied and involves a mix of litigated and non-litigated matters.

Meg’s experience includes assisting health practitioners who are subject to disciplinary action by regulatory bodies, health practitioners who have been named in litigated proceedings, and health practitioners who are required to give evidence during coronial inquests and investigations. She has experience working with Australia’s largest medical defence organisations, in addition to smaller insurers and private hospitals. This experience has transcended into Meg’s completion of a secondment with Avant, Australia’s largest medical defence organisation and leading provider of medical indemnity insurance in Australia.

Having a science background, Meg is able to bring a unique understanding to the matters she handles. Meg takes pride in fostering collaborative relationships with clients and achieving the best possible outcome for both insurers and insured clients. Meg’s completion of a secondment with Avant, where she acted as a claims manager, has also resulted in a nuanced understanding of matters from a claims management perspective.
