Laura assists local and international insurers and Lloyd’s of London syndicates on policy coverage, property damage, recoveries, and personal injury matters. She has particular experience in the construction, infrastructure and government sectors in which she advises on often complex contractual and indemnity obligations, as well as liability and quantum issues.

While Laura’s focus is typically on delivering the best outcome for her clients without the need for litigation, she also has experience in the Local, District, Supreme and Appeals Courts of New South Wales, as well as in Federal Court of Australia hearings.

Laura is experienced in advising on matters ranging from catastrophic injuries sustained on construction sites to third party property damage from construction works. She also recently assisted syndicates on their response and management of business interruption loss claims arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Her secondment experience in the insurance industry has honed her commercial and pragmatic approach to resolving complex, multiple party disputes.
