Lana has worked exclusively in insurance litigation since 2009 and now specialises in cyber incident response, data breach regulatory investigations and IT liability/recovery matters.
She has acted in a range of complex cyber matters, assisting as breach coach in relation to incidents involving ransomware, phishing emails, business email compromises, false payment directions or human error and advising on privacy, mandatory notification obligations and defending litigated and non-litigated third party claims.
Lana has also acted for various professionals across a broad range of industries, including legal and medical professionals, accountants, engineers, builders, architects and strata management companies. Lana is adept at resolving disputes in a timely and cost-effective manner or litigating to successful outcomes where necessary.
Lana has been named Cyber Security Professional of the Year in the Professional and Financial Services category at the 2025 Australian Cyber Awards, presented by Cyber Daily. Lana has also been recognised in the 2026 edition of Best Lawyers for her expertise in the following categories: Alternative Dispute Resolution and Personal Injury Litigation.
Lana is dual qualified in Australia and Ukraine. She was admitted to practice in Australia in 2009 and in Ukraine in 2002.

- Leading breach response for multinational clients, coordinating forensic investigations and managing notification obligations across jurisdictions following a ransomware attack.
- Advising financial services firms on regulatory reporting and stakeholder communications following phishing incidents that expose client account credentials.
- Managing complex breaches involving third-party vendor compromises, negotiating contractual remedies and overseeing remediation efforts across jurisdictions.
- Coordinating with law enforcement and internal stakeholders to contain and investigate data exfiltration incidents involving insider threats, leading to disciplinary and legal action.
