• Defending Monsanto (the makers of Roundup herbicide) in a class action alleging that exposure to Roundup causes non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
• Defending a Queensland government-owned corporation in a class action arising out of the 2011 Queensland floods alleging that improper operation of flood mitigation dams exacerbated flooding in the Brisbane area.
• Defending the State of Victoria in a class action arising out of the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires.

Disputes, Investigations + Royal Commissions

• Acting for a major telecommunications provider in an investigation in relation to a representative privacy complaint made to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
• Acting for one of Australia’s largest residential aged care providers in the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety.
• Acting for a ‘Big 4’ bank in relation to ASIC investigations arising out of the Financial Services Royal Commission.
• Acting for an ASX-listed company in relation to a high-profile ASIC investigation of alleged breaches of continuous disclosure obligations. The investigation was overlaid by the significant risk of shareholder class actions.
• Acting for a French events contractor in a dispute with the Organising Committee of the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
