Alex is an experienced insurance litigator with a focus on public liability claims involving personal injury. She specialises in litigated and unlitigated claims of institutional abuse, acting for government agencies and insurers. Alex focuses on claims arising from abuse occurring in residential and educational institutions, and in the foster care environment. She routinely advises on complex and novel legal and policy issues, balancing the interests of her clients with a trauma-informed approach to dispute resolution. Alex has several years’ experience acting for religious institutions and insurers.

Before joining WK, Alex acted for commercial insureds and insurers, as well as various government agencies and insurers, in common law claims for negligence, with a particular focus on longstanding and entrenched psychiatric injuries. She has appeared in the Local Court of NSW, District Court of NSW, Supreme Court of NSW and the NSW Court of Appeal.
