This International Women’s Day, we are excited to share a video showcasing how our pro bono legal work has helped advance safety, justice, and financial security for women and girls through meaningful law reform.
Since 2022, our team has supported efforts to improve how domestic and family violence is considered in Centrelink decision-making. Through pro bono secondments, research, media advocacy, and collaboration with community legal partners, WK has helped bring about changes that better recognise coercive control and financial abuse, improve guidance for decision-makers, and give survivors greater safety and financial security.
The video traces this multi-year journey, featuring insights from Leanne Ho, Emilia Feneziani, and Josh Mills on their experiences, and demonstrates how sustained pro bono efforts can create real-world impact.
