Kristina is experienced in a broad variety of complex litigation matters, including insurance coverage, personal injury, public liability, property damage, contamination cases and commercial disputes. These matters often involve complicated liability, causation, contribution and quantum issues that require statutory construction and detailed expert evidence.
Kristina has acted for Australia’s largest telecommunications company in public liability and damage cases, and in litigation undertaken in the NSW Court of Appeal and the Supreme, District and Local Courts of NSW. She has also assisted in cases litigated in Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and in the High Court. Kristina has advised on the application of international legal principles in litigation maintained in Australia and prepared defences to representative actions.
Kristina is known for her high level of enthusiasm, determination, organisational skills and attention to detail. She also has strong negotiation skills, which enable her to resolve the majority of her matters before trial – often without the need to commence litigation.
Kristina has undertaken a secondment as an Acting Non-Injury Liability Claims Manager at a national insurer, which is part of an international insurance group.
