She has experience in advising on cross-border disputes, regulatory investigations, professional indemnity claims and general commercial matters. Liberty has a strong focus on dispute resolution, having assisted defending insurers and insureds in court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution processes.
Liberty has over two years of prior experience in general commercial and civil litigation. During this time, she has acted for corporations, individuals and other entities in the District Court, the High Court and specialist tribunals.
- Assisting senior counsel in $35 million cross-border coverage dispute relating to payment of defence costs.
- Appearing as counsel in High Court proceedings relating to insolvency, injunctive-relief and commercial matters.
- Preparing documents including court proceedings, settlement agreements, briefs of evidence and substantive advice to local and offshore insurers.
- Conducting legal research on complex claims to assess and manage litigation risk.
